R12: XDO: java.lang.NullPointerException Error When Creating XML Publisher Template in EBS (Doc ID 2727967.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to create a template the following error occurs.

ERROR

Exception Details.  
oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: java.lang.NullPointerException
at oracle.apps.xdo.XDOException.getMessage(Unknown Source)
at oracle.apps.xdo.XDOException.getMessage(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.Throwable.getLocalizedMessage(Throwable.java:391)

STEPS
--------------------------

1.  Navigate to XML Publisher Administrator -> Home -> Templates

2.  Click on Create

3.  Enter in the values for an E-Text Outbound template

4.  Hit Apply

5.  If the template is not valid then the system will generate a NullPointerException exception.
