Can We Keep EBSapps.env In Shared APPL_TOP?

Default location os environment file is <ebs_root>/EBSapps.env file
If there are 2 or mode application nodes, the <ebs_root> is at /u01/oracle/EBS, so can this <ebs_root>(/u01/oracle/EBS) shared between 2 nodes?
