Symptoms

Problem Statement
When attempting to Return to Supplier,
the following error occurs. (after upgrading from 11i to R12.2)

Error
INV_RCVLOTQTY_EXCEEDS
Quantity cannot exceed &TOKEN1 for lot &TOKEN2

Steps to Reproduce
When Return To Supplier for Lot Controlled Item as follow, unable to Return To Supplier.

  1. Receiving PO as follows to Deliver
    Lot :A 100
    Lot :B 50
  2. Return To Supplier by entering the following in Lot Entry Form.
    Lot :A 150

  3. Then following error and unable to Return Lot A Over Received Qty.

    INV_RCVLOTQTY_EXCEEDS
    Quantity cannot exceed 100 Qty for lot A

    This can be done in R11i in R11i only shows
    Quantity will drive inventory negative (INV_NEG_INVENTORY)
    but able to Return to Supplier.
