ORA-06502 Occurs on Poschord Workflow When Supplier Name Is Over 100 Byte (Doc ID 2740471.1)

Symptoms

Problem Statement

When supplier user submit the change request, there is an ORA-6502 error on POSCHORD

Error

Error Name = -6502
Error Message = ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string
buffer too small
Error Stack =
PO_ChangeOrderWF_PVT.is_po_approved_by_hie(002)
Wf_Engine_Util.Function_Call(PO_SUP_CHG_REQUEST_WF_GRP.is_po_approved_by_hie,
POSCHORD, SC_PO-302873-4084, 865519, RUN)

Steps to reproduce
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Buyer creates a PO for the supplier which name is over 100 bytes.
  2. Login iSupplier portal as supplier and submit change request with price change.
  3. Login as buyer and go to notification: Change requests from xxx(suppliername) for Standard Purchase Order 6583, 0 (Total 950.00 USD)
  4. Click Accept
  5. The above notification is sent to sysadmin.
