Asset Transfer Errors: APP-OFA-47339: You Can Perform Only One Prior Period Transaction in Each Period (Doc ID 2742747.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to perform a transfer on an asset with a transfer date in a period period and for which the same asset already has an earlier back-dated transfer done in this same period
the following error occurs.

APP-OFA-47339: You can perform only one prior period transaction in each period.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
In Oracle Assets Responsibility:

1.  Navigate to:  Asset>Asset Workbench  

2.  Find/ Query Asset 

3.  Select Assignment button

4.  Enter Prior Period Date for the transfer date and save 

5.  In same period, Repeat 1-4 to create a 2nd transfer, with back-dated date, in same period.

6.  Error is received
