Can an Asset Name be assigned automatically through a process or API?? (Doc ID 2755919.1)

Is there a way to assign the Asset Name without manual intervention as we encounter some 1000 entries of Asset lines?

The current process involves manually assigning the assets a drop down menu to match the description and CIP GL string.

Log into a Projects responsibility
Navigate to Capitalization > Capital Projects
Enter search criteria for the capital project
Click Find
In the Capital Projects form, Click Lines
When Assets have been generated and are unassigned they are listed with the Asset Name UNASSIGNED
Click on the list of values (LOV) in the Asset Name to select the eligible asset to assign the capital costs.
