Applies to:

Oracle Payables - Version 12.2.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

For New Ledgers Created in R12,  "Open Account Balances Data Manager" Does Not Insert Future Dated Payments Accounting Events Into The Trial Balance Table.

The "Payables Trial Balance Rebuild" program Does inserts Future Dated Payments accounting events into Trial Balance table.

The ledgers created post-Upgrade have column AP_SYSTEM_PARAMETERS_ALL.future_dated_pmt_liab_relief set to ISSUE.

The ledgers created pre-Upgrade have column AP_SYSTEM_PARAMETERS_ALL.future_dated_pmt_liab_relief set to MATURITY.

User needs to Rebuilds the Trail Balance every time, to populate the trial balance with the Future Dated Payments Accounting events.

Trial Balance is never populated with Maturity information that is calculated on the fly from XLA_AE_LINES.  The following is observed:

If the "Subledger Accounting Balances Update" program runs after the accounting, then the Trial Balance is populated correctly ONLY for the Old (pre-Upgrade) ledgers.
For the new (after-Upgrade) ledgers, the Future Dated Payments accounting IS NOT populated.

If the "Payables Trial Balance Rebuild" program runs after the accounting program, the Trial Balance (table) is populated correctly(as expected).
