The purpose of this note is to provide instructions on how to set up a line workflow for interfacing non-shippable, install base trackable customer products to Install Base.
In R12, Order Management Fulfillment automatically calls the Installed Base Interface and sends all non-shippable order lines into Installed Base. This may cause problems for some customers as they may not want ALL fulfill order lines to interface with Install Base. <Patch 9215901> introduces a new profile option called 'OM: Automatically Interface Lines to IB on Fulfillment'. If user sets this profile option to 'N' then the setup instructions in this note still applies for R12 if patch is applied. See <Note 1057445.1> 'R12 Non-shippable Item Interface to Installed Base' for further details.
