Last updated on MAY 01, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Quoting - Version 11.5.10.2 to 12.2 [Release 11.5.10 to 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A descriptive flexfield was defined for Order Capture - Lines: Additional Information
One of the segments has a value set associated.
The value set is table validated and the 'Where/Order By' clause uses a block:field reference.

Or when try to place order
Error messages from Order Management
The flexfield on this field contains a flexfield bind variable with a :BLOCK.FIELD reference. This prohibits operation in the mode that optimizes performance over a wide-area network. To continue using this form, have the system administra
tor either remove all :BLOCK.FIELD references, or turn off wide area operation by setting the profile option - Flexfields: Validate on Server to N. The reference may be in a WHERE_CLAUSE token passed into the flexfield definition in the for
m, a WHERE clause in a table-validated value set, or a default value for one of the segments of this flexfield.

This works in forms Quoting, Order Management (forms UI), but not in HTML Quoting.
