Last updated on FEBRUARY 21, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle E-Business Suite Technology Stack - Version 11.5.10.2 to 11.5.10.2 [Release 11.5.10]
Oracle Application Object Library - Version 11.5.10.2 to 11.5.10.2 [Release 11.5]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Information in this document applies to any supported Discoverer version through 10.1.2.

Goal

To create a link from the Oracle Applications 11i home page to a Discoverer workbook that will automatically open Discoverer Plus or Viewer and display the workbook using apps security.

Note: Due to changes in the code for Discoverer Viewer 10.1.2 these steps may not work. Some customers have been able to get workbooks and a default sheet to open automatically from applications. The author of this note has not been able to get this functionality to work with Viewer version 10.1.2. The steps that others have done to open a workbook in Viewer 10.1.2 are included for anyone to try but are not guaranteed to work at this time.

Note: The steps in Discoverer setup Note 313418.1 - "Using Discoverer 10.1.2 with Oracle E-Business Suite 11i" - must be finished successfully before logging a Service Request against this note.
