Users Getting Error "Exercised Date Can Not Be Less Than Option From Date" When Exercising an Option on the Same Date As the Option Start Date (Doc ID 2787361.1)

Last updated on MARCH 15, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Contract Lifecycle Management for Public Sector - Version 12.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On some CLM Option lines, users are receiving errors when the "Exercised Date" equals the "Option From Date."

It appears to be related to the timestamp that CLM is populating in the table PO_LINES_ALL for these data values

It is not evident why some of the dates are given the current timestamp (Example 15:25:00 ), and others always use '12:00:00'

It should only validate based on the date, not the time, because the user should be allowed to exercise the line on the same day as the "Option From Date".

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
-----------------------

  1. Create a CLM Award line with an option line and a given date for the "Option From Date"
  2. Exercise the option specifying the same date in "Exercise Date" as is in "Option From Date"
  3. Error "Exercised Date Can not be less than Option From Date" occurs
