Symptoms

Problem Statement:

Adop cleanup phase fails with the error/warning below even after applying patch:29284183(ADOP CLEANUP FAILS AFTER 12.2.8 12.2 HR RUP12 UPG PUBLIC.PER_SUITMATCH) referenced in <Document:2503664.1>.

[EVENT] Log: @ADZDSHOWLOG.sql "<DATE TIME>"
[ERROR] ORA-04045: errors during recompilation/revalidation of PUBLIC.PER_SUITMATCH_COMP
ORA-00980: synonym translation is no longer valid, SQL[ORA$BASE]: drop SYNONYM "APPS"."PER_SUITMATCH_COMP" force
[WARNING] Could not drop covered object [ORA$BASE] APPS.PER_SUITMATCH_COMP (SYNONYM): ORA-04045: errors during recompilation/revalidation of PUBLIC.PER_SUITMATCH_COMP
ORA-00980: synonym translation is no longer valid

 

 

Steps to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Apply patch:29284183(ADOP CLEANUP FAILS AFTER 12.2.8 12.2 HR RUP12 UPG PUBLIC.PER_SUITMATCH)
  2. Cleanup phase fails with the error/warning.
