Combining Primary UOM And Unit Of Issue Adds A Different Quantity To The Shopping Cart. (Doc ID 2799961.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 10, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle iProcurement - Version 12.2.8 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------

When adding some items to the cart with a UOM conversion, the quantity being added is incorrect.

Previously logged similar <Bug 32222717> : WHEN ADDING ITEMS TO CART, THE QUANTITY INCREASES BY 1
but this it not the same issue. (Ref.: (When Adding Items To Cart, The Quantity Increases By 1 (Doc ID 2742507.1))

An example of this is, item ZZZZ has a primary UOM = "Container of 10" and a Unit of Issue = "Each" but when entering a quantity of 1 and adding to the cart, the quantity is automatically changed to 11. This means that the system sees a quantity of 10 based on primary UOM plus an additional 1.

The problem seems to be related when the UOM is Each, selecting others the issue did not occur.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
When adding Internal items to the cart the quantity must changes based on the UOM conversion

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to iProcurement
2. Search for item ZZZZZZ. See UOM = "Container of 10". Chose 1 as quantity.
3. Click on "...select a source.."
4. Select "<Source name>" with Each "Unit of Issue"
5. See quantity added to 11, instead of 1.
