R12: AP: Sequence Assignments Form Gives Error "APP-FND-01572: Invalid foreign key data found for this record". (Doc ID 2800192.1)

Document Assignments form is giving error:

"APP-FND-01572: Invalid key data was found for this record. Value (xxxx, 200) for column (CODE, APPLICATION_ID) does not exist in table FND_DOC_SEQUENCE_CATEGORES."

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1) Open the Sequence Assignments form (System Administrator: Application > Sequential Numbering > Assign)
P2) erform a query for Application: Payables
One row shows the error

APP-FND-01572: Invalid foreign key data found for this record. Value (XXXX, 200) for column (CODE, APPLICATION_ID) does not exist in taable FND_DOC_SEQUENCE_CATEGORIES. [OK}
After clicking OK the row populates with blank value for Category.
