Workflow Mailer Configuration fails for IMAP / Inbound Processing (Doc ID 2804127.1)

Symptoms

While configuring new Workflow mailer , IMAP Connectivity test fails with error


Validation error occurred "Unable to connect to mail account. Check the host, user name, password and connection security.

OR

When mailer is started only with SMTP(Outbound processing) by unchecking "Inbound Processing" and enabling 'Inbound Processing' through backend using script $FND_TOP/sql/afsvcpup.sql , 

Workflow Mailer log file shows.

Validation failed for the following parameters -> { INBOX=The folder does not exist for the nominated mail account ,DISCARD=The folder does not exist for the nominated mail account , PROCESS=The folder does not exist for the nominated mail account}

Steps to Enable "Inbound Processing" from backend using script $FND_TOP/sql/afsvcpup.sql 

1.Please go through the Workflow Mailer Configuration and set all the Parameters except the Inbound Thread that must be left unchecked.
2.Verify again that the Workflow Mailer Configuration setup is correct and no errors can be found.
3. From the back-end, please run the steps below to get set the Inbound Thread Count to 1:

a. sqlplus apps/pwd
b. @$FND_TOP/sql/afsvcpup.sql
c. At first prompt identify from list the component id for WF Mailer and enter its value
d. At second prompt identify the parameter id for Inbound Thread Count and enter its value
e. At third prompt enter the new value for parameter Inbound Thread Count : 1

4. Log in again to Application > OAM > Service Components > Select the Container and do Stop/Start (bounce) action.
