While calling the Assignment API "HR_ASSIGNMENT_API.UPDATE_EMP_ASG_CRITERIA" throws ORA-20001: System Error: Procedure at Step 40 (Doc ID 2804911.1)

Symptoms

While trying to use the assignment API "hr_assignment_api.update_emp_asg_criteria" to update the assignment details the following error occurs
 

ERROR
-----------------------

"ORA-20001: System Error: Procedure at Step 40
Cause: The procedure has created an error at Step 40.
Action: Contact your system administrator quoting the procedure and Step 40."


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Login to  DataBase (DB)
2. Execute the API hr_assignment_api.update_emp_asg_criteria wrapper by passing necessary parameter
3. The above error shown
