Symptoms
While performing an upgrade to Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.x, the customer is encountering an error running the adgrants.sql prior to applying Patch 10117518 (R12.AD.C: Oracle Application DBA 12.2 Patch) merged with Patch 30370733 ( Oracle Applications DBA Consolidated Upgrade Patch 11 for R12.2.0).
The customer runs the adgrants.sql script as a user that can connect as SYSDBA to grant privileges to selected SYS objects and create PS/SQL profiler objects. The user then observes the following error:
The customer prepares for running adgrants as follows:
1. Create $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/admin on the database server. 2. Compare the version of adgrants.sql in $APPL_TOP/admin to that in patch directory. 3. Copy the higher version of adgrants.sql to $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/admin. 4. Set the environment to point to ORACLE_HOME on the database server. 4.1 $ source $ORACLE_HOME/<cdb-name>_<host-name>.env 4.2 $ export ORACLE_PDB_SID=<pdb-name> 5. Use SQL*Plus to run the script: $ sqlplus /nolog SQL> @$ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/admin/adgrants.sql <APPS schema name>
