Symptoms

When trying to initiate approval for GL Journal Entry, following error appears

ERROR

An error occurred while fetching attributes for given transaction id. Ensure that the given transaction id is correct and the dynamic queries for attributes and item classes are correct.

STEPS
--------

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Login using "General Ledger Super User" responsibility

2. Navigate to Journals -> Enter

3. Create Journal entry with header and line details filled and submit the same for approval

4. Encounter the error as above

5. Also, observe the error in AME_EXCEPTIONS_LOG table as below:

  ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
  The error is caught in ame_test_utility_pkg.

PLEASE NOTE: The same issue can be encountered while creating an Invoice from Payables Manager.
