After Patching When Viewing Output for Concurrent Requests the Files Do Not Show a File Extension (Doc ID 2827499.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.1 or 12.2.10 version, Concurrent Manager Issues

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Applied Patch 16774851: 12.1 ENHANCEMENTS: DELIVERY OPTIONS PROPAGATION/OUTPUT FILE EXT WITH FORMAT/EMAIL DELIVERY ATTACHMENTS for 12.1.

or

Patch 16774851: 12.2 ENHANCEMENTS: DELIVERY OPTIONS PROPAGATION/OUTPUT FILE EXT WITH FORMAT/EMAIL DELIVERY ATTACHMENTS for 12.2.

Submit a request. Then view the output.

The file is generated. However, when it is saved, concurrent requests outputs the file on the file system.

It has a name, but no extension.



STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Make sure that either Patch 16774851: 12.1 ENHANCEMENTS: DELIVERY OPTIONS PROPAGATION/OUTPUT FILE EXT WITH FORMAT/EMAIL DELIVERY ATTACHMENTS was applied for 12.1.

or

Patch 16774851: 12.2 ENHANCEMENTS: DELIVERY OPTIONS PROPAGATION/OUTPUT FILE EXT WITH FORMAT/EMAIL DELIVERY ATTACHMENTS has been applied to environment for 12.2. 

1. Navigate System Administrator -> Install -> Viewer Options.

2. Ensure that no values exist in columns for "File Extension".

3. Log out of applications, then log in again as System Administrator user.

4. Choose the responsibility. For example:  Order Management Super User.

5. Navigate Reports, Requests -> Run Requests.

6. In Request submission form, choose "Order Management Setup Validation Program (XML)" -> Select "Instance" for the required parameter "Validation Level".

7. Click Options and for Layout, select Format of "Excel".

8. Submit and allow to complete.

9. From top menu, choose View -> Requests.

10. Select the completed request and choose View Output.

11. On the file system, the file is generated. However, it has no extension. For example: myfiletype instead of myfiletype.xls.

Changes

 Applied Patch 16774851: 12.2 ENHANCEMENTS: DELIVERY OPTIONS PROPAGATION/OUTPUT FILE EXT WITH FORMAT/EMAIL DELIVERY ATTACHMENTS.
