Hierarchy Parameter for Close Period and Open Period API's (Doc ID 2827549.1)

There is a requirement to create 10,000 or more organizations for the Retail Business.
This entails time consuming and impacts the SLA when using the standard procedure Close Period Control and Open Period Control. 
This has reference to Existing Note  268029.1 -  Is There A Concurrent Program To Open Inventory Periods (and close)? 

Would like to make use of API's to directly close and open the Inventory Accounting Periods for the list of
organizations assigned to each Hierarchy.

This seeks the feasibility of the Hierarchy as parameter to the APIs by using the wrapper job. 

Wanted to get the confirmation from Oracle Costing Development whether below APIs' support Hierarchy or not.

1. cst_accountingperiod_pub.open_period
2. cst_accountingperiod_pub.close_period
