Symptoms

When attempting to submit debrief return transactions, the following error is generated for both Install Base (IB) trackable items and non-IB trackable items:

ERROR

The inventory item with ID &INVENTORY_ITEM_ID is serial controlled and its serial number 'NNN' is invalid. (INSTANCE_ID=)"

Steps to Reproduce
--------------------

1. Log in with Field Service Manager responsibility.
2. Go to Service Request/Create Service Request.
3. Create a new service request and task.
4. Create a Debrief return line for this task entering item and its serial number.
5. Submit the debrief.
