View Enrollment And Update Single Enrollment After Manual Update Of Player Status Error:You Have Encountered An Unexpected Error (Doc ID 2833234.1)

Symptoms


When a Learning Administrator uses the update player status button to manually update the player status for a learner, immediately after the update if the administrator attempts to access the view enrollment page (by clicking the enrollment number link) or the update single enrollment page (by clicking the Update icon) then an error page is displayed.

The error is ‘You have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact your System Administrator for assistance.

The error only occurs if the pages are accessed immediately after updating the Player Status.

If the user navigates to the catalogue or away from the Enrollments and Subscriptions (or the list of enrollments) page and back again the error will no longer be received.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Login to applications with Learning Administrator user.
2. Navigate to any online class using Catalog Administration function.
3. Under Enrollments, pick any learner who has player status as 'Incomplete' and update player status using the button on the table.
4. After returning from the player status update page, click on either enrollment number or on the update enrollment icon for the updated enrollment.
5. Null pointer Exception is thrown
