Concurrent Report Set Stages Stuck In Paused Status When Using Logical App Hostnames (Doc ID 2848242.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 11, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Concurrent Processing - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Users notice that when request sets are submitted, the stage request remains in Pending status for all request sets.

It was noticed that a new field is updated for request sets in FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS called node_name1.
This is given the value of the physical host name rather than the logical host name.
Removing node_name1 (ie updating it to null) allows the requests to come out of pending status and then complete normally.

Users expect their request sets to process normally.

Changes

Migrated the applications tier to logical host names and parallel concurrent processing (PCP).
