R12: AP: When Validating the Accounting Definition Receive Error 95431 Account Derivation Rules Use Sources Not Assigned to Event Class. Unable to Use Custom Sources. (Doc ID 2864729.1)

Symptoms

While running the Application Accounting Definition Validation to validate a custom configuration to the Subledger Accounting Method (SLAM) in which custom sources were created, the following error occurs:

 

Error 95431: The following account derivation rules assigned to the journal lines definition use sources in their details that have not been assigned to the event class.  Please remove the source from the account derivation rule details, or select a different account derivation rule for the journal entry line.

 

An FND Log of the Application Accounting Definition Validation process shows the message p_message_name = xla_ab_sr_unassn_source in the log file


Using the source_code value and event_class_code from the FND log, the following script return data:

 

 Steps to reproduce

Navigate in Payables to Other > Requests > Run

Submit the request 'Validate Application Accounting Definitions
