Cannot Enter Contributor Class Information When Creating A New Address On The Order Management (OM) Add Customer Form (Doc ID 2904946.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 25, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Order Management - Version 12.1.3 to 12.2.11 [Release 12.1 to 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When entering a new shipping address using the OM Add Customer option from the Sales Order Form
the user cannot specify the Contributor Class option needed for Latin Tax to work correctly.

Question: Is there an option or setup available to default the Contributor Class for all new shipping addresses created using the Add Customer option?

Summary of Issue
----------------------------
Release 12.1.3 and Release 12.2
AR Receivables capabilities vs OM Order Management > Go to sales order form:
Enter a new shipping address via the OM ADD CUSTOMER FORM. User can
successfully add the new shipping addresses and Location. User hare having
an issue when trying specify the Contributor Class option needed for Latin
Tax Invoicing.

When the customer goes to the Global Attributes to enter the Contributor Class
this is where the issue is occurring. It does not appear that Order Management
has the capability to add the Contributor Class via the Customer Form via OM
Responsibility.

Note: Using the customer administrator responsibility users are able to specify the
contributor class, the question is only for the Add Customer option that Order
Management has, which is minimized standard functionality.
