Purpose
Physical inventory counting on desktop has always supported counts via tag in Oracle Forms.
However, count by tag for Physical Inventory has not been available on the mobile application, Mobile Supply Chain Applications (MSCA), prior to 12.2.12.
This enhancement allows users to complete physical inventory count by entering the sub- inventory, locator, Item, LPN and the quantity.
The system updates the corresponding existing tag when the adjustment record already exists.
Now, if the adjustment record does not exists for the count SKU, the system will create a new tag and corresponding adjustment record.
Counting by tag in in the mobile application also auto-populates the SKU information associated with the scanned tag making the count process easier, faster and less error prone.
Scope
The purpose of the internal testing is to checks new 12.2.12 Enhacement for the following capabilities:
- Tag Based Counting
- Physical Inventory Adjustments Affecting Reservations and Allocations (XML) Report
- Prevent Transaction Processing During Physical Inventory
