PO Output for Communication Fails with PO_PDF_XML_FAILED Error : DRAFT_ID Invalid Identifier (Doc ID 2906145.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.2.5 version, Purchasing Processes

Purchase Order (PO) Output for communication fails with the following error:

ERROR
---------------
oracle.apps.po.communicate.PoPDFException:PO_PDF_XML_FAILED

The FND Debug shows the following error:

po.plsql.PO_COMMUNICATION_PVT.POXMLGEN :
ORA-19202: Error occurred in XML processing
ORA-00904: ""PHX"".""DRAFT_ID"": invalid identifier

 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
-------------------------------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Navigate to Purchasing Responsibility.
2. Create a PO.
3. Submit PO for approval.
4. Post Approval , The concurrent program 'PO Output for Communication' is triggered
5. The program completes in Error with the Below error message
