Workflow Mailer is Getting Stuck When Trying to Send Email Notifications with 50+MB Attachment. (Doc ID 2906229.1)

Symptoms

Issue started occurring post upgrading EBS version from 12.1.3 to 12.2.10.

Workflow Notification Mailer is getting stuck when trying to send any workflow email notification with 50+ MB attachment.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. From EBS application, trigger any workflow that sends email notification with 50+ MB attachment.
  2. On checking above notification ID in "wf_notifications" table, "mail_status" column is stuck in "MAIL" status. Eventually, outbound thread(s) is getting Inactive and not processing other notifications.

Changes

EBS upgraded from R12.1.3 to R12.2.10 version.
