Last updated on NOVEMBER 18, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Inventory Management - Version 12.2.9 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The secondary quantity for a dual unit of measure controlled item does not transfer correctly (is missing) when doing Cost Group Transfer.
The expectation is that the secondary quantity will be transferred along with the primary quantity.
This causes negative quantity issues when trying to reserve on-hand.

Steps

  1. Query a dual UOM controlled item in Material Workbench in WMS enabled org.

Navigate: Inventory > On-hand, Availability > Onhand Quantity

  2. Use Tools menu option to perform a Cost Group Transfer transaction.

Note that the Secondary columns are populated (Secondary Onhand and Secondary Available).
Enter the value for the Transfer Cost Group.
Click the Update button to submit.

  3. After the transfer, re-query the same item in the same form.

The new cost group value is correct but the all the Secondary Quantity fields are are blank (fields  "Total Quantity", "Available to Reserve", and "Available to Transact").
These fields should show the secondary quantity values.
