On : 12.2.10 version, Shipment Issues


User getting unexpected error while submitting ASN from iSupplier portal in a multi language installation
 
ERROR

"You have encountered an unexpected error" Please contact your sysadmin.

Detailed Error

oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: oracle.jbo.DMLException: JBO-26041: Failed to post data to database during "Insert": SQL Statement "INSERT INTO RCV_TRANSACTIONS_INTERFACE(INTERFACE_TRANSACTION_ID,GROUP_ID,LAST_UPDATE_DATE,LAST_UPDATED_BY,CREATION_DATE,CREATED_BY,LA

java.sql.SQLException: ORA-12899: value too large for column "PO"."RCV_TRANSACTIONS_INTERFACE"."SHIP_TO_LOCATION_CODE" (actual: 73, maximum: 60)


STEPS TO REPLICATE

  1. Using iSupplier Portal -> iSupplier Portal Full Access Responsibility 
  2. Shipment -> Create Advance Shipment Notice 
  3. Select a item from the View and Proceed 
  4. Error occurred 

Other Findings , Issue is happening only when we have Ship to Location Name is in Different Language like "Japanese" etc... Multi Byte Character and have more length
