Last updated on NOVEMBER 15, 2022

Information in this document applies to any platform.

This issue occurs when using Standard Costing.

The business uses the same quantity of the only ingredient in a formula regardless of whether a small or large quantity of product is yielded. Therefore, they have marked the formula as scalable, the product scale type as Proportional, but the ingredient has a scale type of Fixed.

When OPM Accounting Pre-Processor (OPP) is run and includes a batch that uses this formula, the following error is seen in the OPP error messages.

Scaling Error - No nonfixed ingredients for formula <formula number> version <version number>
Error during batch close for Plant <plant code> Batch <batch number>. Batch skipped.

  1. Run OPP (OPM Financials > OPM Accounting Pre-Processor)
  2. Check error messages (from OPM Accounting Pre-Processor screen > Actions > View Error Messages)
