IE Gender Pay Gap Archiver Process Run Using Multiple Threads Ending in Error: ORA-20001: Database Item Requires Context TAX_UNIT_ID to be Set (Doc ID 2910054.1)

Symptoms

Problem Statement:

While running the "IE Gender Pay Gap Archiver" process using multiple threads, it was observed the following error in the Employee Assignment Processes form:

Error ORA-20001: An error encountered was - ORA-20001: Database item requires
context TAX_UNIT_ID to be set
ORA-06512: at "APPS.PAY_ARCHIVE", line 1234
ORA-06512: at line 3
has occurred in table pay_archive.process_employee at location 1108

Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Using IE HRMS Responsibility
  2.  (N) Other Definitions > Action Parameters > select the 'Default Group' tickbox
  3.  (N) On the Parameters tab > Name: Threads > Value: set to a value higher than 1
  4.  (N) Process and Reports > Submit Processes and Reports > run the "IE Gender Pay Gap Archiver" concurrent program and observe it ends in error
  5.  (N) View > Assignment Processes Results > select an employee and click on Message for the process "IE Gender Pay Gap Archiver" ended in error > review the Messages Lines and observe the errors.

 Observation:

Using parameter Threads set to 1, process completes with no error.

Changes

 Applied the patch 34350313 created for the IE Gender Pay Gap functionality.
