Symptoms


When executing API "HR_GRADE_API.CREATE_GRADE", the following error occurs

ERROR

ORA-20001: A grade with this name already exists. Please enter a new name


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Login to database

2. Execute an anonymous PLSQL block which calls the API "HR_GRADE_API.CREATE_GRADE"

3. Encounter the above error.
