AutoDetail Batch and OPM Picking Not Working After Creating or Editing a Picking Rule, or After Patching or Upgrading (Doc ID 2922988.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 23, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Process Manufacturing Process Execution - Version 12.2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Even after creating an Inventory Picking Rule for OPM and correctly creating a rule assignment, or after editing a Picking Rule or rule assignment, AutoDetail fails to create reservations or OPM Picking fails to allocate material.

Steps

  1. Create or modify a Picking Rule (Inventory > Setup > Rules > Picking).
  2. Assign the rule on the Rules Workbench (from the Inventory Picking Rules window, click Assignment).
  3. From Batch Details (Production Supervisor > Batch Details) run either AutoDetail Batch (from Inventory menu select AutoDetail Batch) or Picking (click the Picking button)
  4. Find that nothing is reserved by AutoDetail (Reserved Qty remains zero on Batch Details), or Picking gives the message "None of the Selected materials were allocated".

This issue sometimes occurs after applying patches or upgrading to a new release.

Changes

New picking rule or rule assignment was created, or an existing picking rule or rule assignment was changed, or a patch was applied or the system was upgraded to a new release.
