WMS Pick None Exception Causes Cursor Jump And Skipping Of Required Fields When Performing Delivery Slip Picking For Multi-line Task Group (Doc ID 2957970.1)

Last updated on JULY 19, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Warehouse Management - Version 12.2.11 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

WMS pick none exception causes the cursor to jump and skip required fields for subsequent entries when
using Delivery Slip Picking for a multi-line task group pick. The pick must be part of a multi-line task group.
It should not be a single pick that forces load-drop immediately afterwards.

Steps

  1. In Mobile Web Apps, Navigate: Delivery Slip Picking (Outbound Task Discrete).
  2. Confirm Sub, Loc, Item, and Req Qty values
  3. In Xfer LPN field, generated a new LPN
  4. There is not enough on-hand in the Sub/Loc location or a lot is expired for a lot controlled item
so press F4 to see the "Exception" Screen options (Pick None and Partial Pick).
  5. Screen refreshes with two options.
    Choose the "Pick None" option.
  6. Screen refreshes to begin pick of the next item in the task group.
  7. Confirm Sub, Loc, and Item values.
When the cursor is still in the item Confirm field, press Enter and note that the Confirm field for "Req Qty" is skipped over and instead, the cursor is on the "<Load>" option.
Cursor now sits on the "<Load>" option.
Note: The jump does not happen for the last item in the multi-line task group.
  8. If you are not paying attention and hit Enter while on the "<Load>" option without confirming the "Req Qty" value, the application assumes you have picked all needed quantity.
This may not be the desired option as this could be a partial pick or an out of date product but since you have hit Load,
there is now no option to perform a partial pick or create a  "Pick None" exception.
