FATAXUP
Symptoms
Uploading data to the Tax interface and running the FATAXUP: Upload Tax Book Interface program.
The program is showing the following for some assets in the log file:
You have made no changes that you need to commit.
Tax Upload failed for this asset. Please view the log file for details.
Asset number Example 12346.
You have made no changes that you need to commit.
Tax Upload failed for this asset. Please view the log file for details.
Ending with the following:
Number of successes: XXX.
Number of failures: YYY.
Module Tax Upload Interface ended with error.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE ISSUE
--------------------------------------
1) Using an Oracle Assets responsibility, in the Corporate book create new asset(s).
2) Run the Mass Copy program to copy these assets into an existing tax book.
3) Using the API Procedure Name: IMPORT_TAX_BOOK, upload data to the FA_TAX_INTERFACE table.
4) Navigate to Other -> Requests -> Run
5) Select program Upload Tax Book Interface
6) Select the tax book to upload and submit.
7) This concurrent requests ends in error with the following seen in the log file.

Asset number Example 12346.
You have made no changes that you need to commit.
Tax Upload failed for this asset. Please view the log file for details.
Ending with the following:
Number of successes: XXX.
Number of failures: YYY.
Module Tax Upload Interface ended with error.
When comparing the data provided to the interface table with the Tax book asset data, it appears that the data was uploaded with success despite the message provided.
The corporate and tax books have differences in the following fields for the erroring assets:
- Life
- Depreciation Method
- Pro rate Method
