Last updated on JULY 27, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Service Contracts - Version 12.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When doing a "Roll Back Termination" on a renewed contract, the wrong contract, usually the original, is getting picked to try and "roll back" and the following error occurs.
ERROR
This operation is not allowed for the contract/line - XXXXX in its current status.
STEPS
1. Using a Service Contracts responsibility, navigate Contract Administration > Launch Pad.
2. When the Launch Pad form opens, use the flashlight icon on the menu to open the search form.
3. Search for the contract to Roll Back. This should be a renewed contract so the original, as well as any renewed contracts, should be returned in the search.
4. Do a right mouse click on the Terminated contract and choose "Roll Back Termination". This will kick off a concurrent request.
5. After this concurrent program finished the Terminated contract is still in Terminated status.
6. The concurrent program output file shows: "This operation is not allowed for the contract/line - XXXXX in its current status."
7. The concurrent program log file shows the wrong contract id is used.
