Symptoms

A Product Catalog is setup and existing interest types are mapped to new values in the Product Category.

The concurrent program Product Category Mapping is run using the Oracle Sales Administrator responsibility but is erroring out as follows:

 

ASXMCAT module: Product Catalog Mapping

Error in category mapping User-Defined Exception;Error msg: Program error: Please inform your support representative that: FLEXFIELDS SERVER-SIDE VALIDATION package reports error:

Value set validation error in ValueSet_Validate()

Inside process categories for interest type/code:ENGINEERING SVCS,interest type/code id:1,parent category id:
Creating category with name:ENGINEERING SVCS and description:ENGINEERING SVCS Error occured while
calling INV_ITEM_CATEGORY_PUB.Create_Category Exception in Process_Categories Error, can not complete
Concurrent Program Error in category mapping User-Defined Exception Return Status:U
