PAXACCPB: PRC: Create Accounting Process Fails With the Error 'Invalid Related Journal Entry' (Doc ID 2964247.1)

Symptoms

The PRC: Create Accounting process has rejected Revenue Generation events when interfacing to General Ledger (GL) with the Journal Entry Status = 'Invalid Related Journal Entry'.

You can encounter this issue with the following steps:

  1. Log into a Projects responsibility
  2. Navigate to Other > Requests > Run
  3. Submit PRC: Create Accounting
  4. Review the output in the Subledger Accounting Program Report

Along with the Journal Entry Status error 'Invalid Related Journal Entry', there is also another error that is indicated in the report.

This other entry has the Journal Entry Status  = 'Invalid'

This record in the report will also include an Error Message similar to the one below.

       95325                The GL date 30-JUN-2023 is not in an open or a future enterable period.  Please select a valid GL date or open the period.
