When Scanning Concatenate QR Code, The System Do Not Capture The Full String, If Delimiter Is Part Of That Value And Gives Error "No result is found" (Doc ID 2969212.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 29, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Mobile Application Server - Version 12.2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Oracle MWA application, while scanning concatenate barcode , application considering the barcode token value with global delimiter, where delimiter is part of the value but ideally it should not consider the delimiter as part of value.

Example: While performing scanning , if mwa.GlobalBarcodeDelimiter is set as 42 in mwa.cfg file and when JWE42 is scanned in LPN field (J is DFI for LPN field). In the LPN field, WE is reflected instead of WE42 as a value.

ERROR
No result is found

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to MSCA or Android device
2. Navigate to Whse Mgmnt => Inquiry => Item
3. Select the Organization
4. Press "CTRL + \" and type the value to be scan (i.e. along with DFI)
5. Press enter and will see value get truncated from place where delimiter 42 is written
6. Then change the "mwa.GlobalBarcodeDelimiter = NULL" and tried again. In this case everything works fine but out of order scanning stops working
