In Oracle iProcurement, PDF Attachments Cannot Be Viewed (Doc ID 2969328.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 22, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle iProcurement - Version 12.2.4 to 12.2.11 [Release 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Oracle iProcurement, users cannot view attachments that are in PDF format.
Viewing attachments that are in PDF format does not work for requisitions, purchase orders, or invoices attached/matched to the requisition or purchase order.

Steps To Reproduce

1. Log in to Oracle Applications.
2. Navigate to an iProcurement responsibility > iProcurement Home Page.
3. On the iProcurement Home Page, in the My Requisitions region, click the Full List button.
4. On the Requisition Views page, click the Search button.
5. On the Requisition Search page, click the Clear button, search by Requisition Number and click the Go button.
6. In the search results, click the link for the requisition number.
7. On the Requisition details page, at the header level, see there is one attachment (the paper clip is enabled next to the Attachment field title, and a number "1" is there). Click the link.
8. Now, the Attachments pop-up window appears and the attachment title with extension .pdf is there. Click the file name link and nothing happens.
At the bottom of the web browser window, can see a small message for the link when hovering the mouse cursor over the link:
  javascript:Adummy()

Changes

The issue began to occur after applying the R12.ATG_PF.C.delta.12 (R12.FND.C.11) patch has been applied.  This patch provides the Release 12.2.12 code level of Application Object Library (FND) / Oracle Applications Framework (FWK).
