Booking an Order Results In Error: Exception In QP_PREQ_GRP.PRICE_REQUEST When the Profile Option ICX: Numeric Characters is Set to "10 000,00" (Doc ID 2970397.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to book the multi-line sales order, the following messages are shown in an OM Debug file captured per Doc ID 1334948.1 - How to Generate a Debug File Involving a Sales Order For Pricing Analysis.


l_status_text Exception in QP_PREQ_GRP.PRICE_REQUEST This Attribute( with Context: XXXXXXXXX and Attribute: YYYYYYYY ) is defined as numeric but passed as non-numeric/Errored
Exception in QP_PREQ_GRP.PRICE_REQUEST This Attribute( with Context: XXXXXXXXX and Attribute: YYYYYYYY ) is defined as numeric but passed as non-numeric/Errored
Exception Price Request GRP: Exception in QP_PREQ_GRP.PRICE_REQUEST This Attribute( with Context: XXXXXXXXX and Attribute: YYYYYYYY ) is defined as numeric but passed as non-numeric/Errored
Exception Price Request: User-Defined Exception
LEAVING OE_MSG_PUB.ADD
EXITING PRICE_LINE WITH EXC ERROR


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
*  Profile option ICX: Numeric characters  is set to "10 000,00".
1. Responsibility: Order Management Super User (or equivalent)
2. Navigate to: Orders, Returns > Sales Orders
3. Query order
4. Book multi-line order and error messages are shown.

* Tried testing with this profile set to "10 000.00" .
   Found that the error persists, just the error message is less informative.
   It only says: "Error(s) occured in Oracle Pricing:"



Changes

Their original database version was 12.1.0.2 (no error).
They upgraded their database version to 19.17.0.0.0 (error exists if temp_undo_enabled = TRUE).
