General attribute update not getting cascaded from parent instance to child instance while doing Mass update in IB

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Install base manager-> Item instance
2. Select Mass update
3. Select general and click on go
4. Give the site number and click on go
5. Select all the instance and click on Apply
6. Enter the general attributes
7. Click on next and after completion when checking child instance attributes not updated.
