Purchase Requisition Approval AME Exception 'ORA-00923: FROM keyword not found where expected'

Symptoms
When attempting to approve requisitions using the Approval Management Engine (AME), the approval fails, and the AME log shows the following error:

STEPS

1. Login to Purchasing Responsibility
2. Go to Requisition
3. Create and submit Requisitions
4. The requisition approval fails
5. AME log file shows the above error
