Business Value
The ability to cancel shipments that are in transit or return received shipments will allow customers to quickly and easily rectify mistakes or logistical issues.
Partial or line level Cancellation for ISO / Interorg Shipments Cancellations are often targeted for a subset of the quantity being shipped.
•The reason can be:
–The shipment has been short-picked and hence some of the quantity that shows as being shipped in the system needs to be canceled.
–There is a quality problem with some of the units or shipment lines being shipped and only those need to be canceled.
–There was an incorrect entry that was made in the system and only the erroneous value needs to be canceled if the quantity documented is more than actual. If the quantity is less,
user may need to create another shipment.
•Well documented returns ensure efficient quality control, accounting and tracking of shipped goods
Scope
