Symptoms

When attempting to access Contract Expert page from PO (Purchasing) module, the following error occurs.

ERROR

You have encountered and unexpected error. Please contact your System Administrator for assistance

From Error Page the following Exception Details are shown:

oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: java.lang.NullPointerException
at oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAPageErrorHandler.collectAMMessages(OAPageErrorHandler.java:301)
at oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAPageErrorHandler.collectExceptions(OAPageErrorHandler.java:259)

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Login with PO User responsibility 

2. Query PO in Buyer Work Center > Action: Update > (B) Go

3. Action: Update Contract Terms > (B) Go > (B) Use Contract Expert

5. The error occurs: You have encountered and unexpected error. Please contact your System Administrator for assistance

6. Click on 'Here' option to check the Exception Details.
