How to edit /resubmit and approve old timecards if the requirement is to change the timecard recurring period ?

For example current Preference is weekly Sunday -Saturday , new value is Monday- Sunday effective 1-Oct-2023.

We need to be sure that when the employee or the approver opens the old timecards it will open with the correct weekly period.
