Oracle Inventory Management - Version 12.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Cancellation of transaction in MSCA pick confirmation page for serial controlled item results in serial and onhand mismatch and causing data corruption. Users are not able to use the serial as it is getting locked under a wrong subinventory/locator.

The issue can be reproduced at will using following steps.

1. Login to MSCA
2. Go to pick confirmation screen. (Material & Mfg -> Pick/Ship -> Pick Confirm)
3. Enter details. Let us assume that the total quantity on move order is 2.
4. When the system asks to confirm the serial, enter the serial as Test1. (Assuming Test1 is available as serial in the system).
5. Click Ok.
6. It asks second serial, again enter Test1. System will not accept it.
7. Click cancel button.
8. System shows message as "Txn Success".
9. Go to serial number form (Inventory -> On-hand availibility -> Serial Numbers)
10. Find that serial subinventory is already changed to staging although transaction was cancelled. Whereas Onhand is still showing in main subinventory.
