Accounting Sequence Is Generated In General Ledger Even If Exceptions Have Been Created to Prevent This (Doc ID 2991009.1)

Symptoms

The user has defined Exceptions for the Accounting Sequence in General Ledger to prevent the generation of the sequence. The Accounting Sequence is generated in General Ledger disregarding the Exceptions, though. 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Login to EBS application and use a General Ledger Responsibility
  2. Navigate to General Ledger > Setup > Financials > Sequence > Accounting > Assign > Query the Context > Assign Sequences > Add Exception
  3. Define the Exception and add the Sequence Name
  4. Navigate to General Ledger > Journals > Post the journal
  5. Navigate to General Ledger > Journals > Query the journal > Other Information > Accounting Sequencing number is generated
