After the Final Approver Approves Appraisal Transaction an Error Is Seen in the Worklist Notification Received by the Manager “1400: Non-ORACLE Exception” (Doc ID 2991481.1)

Symptoms

After the final approver approves appraisal, transaction ends in error and below error message is seen in the notification received by the manager:

Your process Appraisal has encountered the following application error:
change_appr_status log=Success^&&apply_to_personal_profile log=&&update_train_component_status log=&&create_event log=&&error is= -1400: non-ORACLE exception

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Enter in application as employee (appraisee) and navigate to the Employee Self-Service responsibility -> Performance Management -> Update appraisal and submit it to the main appraise.
  2. Enter in application as manager (main appraiser) and navigate to the Manager Self-Service responsibility -> Performance Management -> Update appraisal -> Give Final Rating -> Complete.
  3. Appraisal is set to the approvers.
  4. First approver received the notification through the Worklist and approve.
  5. Second approver(last one) received the notification through the Worklist and approve.
  6. Manager received a notification where error message is present.
